E-Readings: Journal Articles & Book Chapters

Please refer to the Copyright for staff webpage before submitting journal articles and book chapters.

e-Reserve is the University’s designated repository for material copied in reliance on Part VB of the Copyright Act.  This typically includes book chapters and journal articles, which are accessible via the e-Reserve web page. (For questions about this requirement, please contact the Macquarie University Copyright Unit)

All documents in the e-Reserve database are password protected.

If items which you have previously used in e-Reserve are not present, they have probably 'timed-out'.  Documents on the e-Reserve database are given expiry dates, which allow us to better manage copyright and maximise the number of documents which we can make available at any one time.

If you wish to reactivate documents, contact the Learning Resources team .  We will provide you with a complete list of the material associated with your Unit, and you can then tell us exactly which documents you require.

Copies of new readings will be processed more quickly if you provide them yourself. These copies must be of excellent quality, with 1 single page of text to each A4 copied sheet, clear print, minimal (preferably no) dark borders, and a complete bibliographic citationfor each separate document.

In addition, please print and fill in the relevant sections of the Learning Resources Cover Sheet, and provide this with your readings.

If the document is not at the required standard, we may have to source it externally, which will delay its appearance.
