Collecting and Copying Library Materials

This service is coordinated from the Information Desk, Level 2. Library staff will collect reading materials from the shelves for students who are not able to do this for themselves. It is also possible to arrange to have some of the collected material photocopied.

Students with disabilities should register for library assistance with the University Disability Adviser, who provides the Library with a list of students who register for assistance. Library staff are not able to accept requests for this service from students whose names are not on the list.

Using the Service

Requests may be submitted on forms available from the Information Desk, Level 2 or online:

Each form allows for the retrieval and photocopying of six items (journal articles and/or book chapters). Students are able to submit 1 form per day or three email requests. Please allow at least two days (three on weekends) turnaround time for collection.

Where there is a special need, students may request photocopied material to be posted to their home address.

Information Desk Staff on Level 2 can also offer other general assistance to students with disabilities; for example calling taxis, filling in forms.
